Working the Pockets : My Tip for Online Business Success

My team & I .. we talk OFTEN about how we work in the POCKETS of of our lives.

Your pockets?

You know.. Little windows of time we all have that we {my team & I} choose to use productively towards business growth.

You see, nearly ALL of us have:

Careers, families or a million other responsibilities that we juggle.

Some of even enjoy & thrive when being super busy, yet purposeful!

At the moment I was writing this, I was actually sending emails while nursing my baby to sleep. Time that I could have been mindlessly scrolling Pinterest or IG stories. This is a POCKET. And I’m werkin‘ it.

I can’t believe it’s been four years now of figuring out this business & how it fits with my life - through ALL the seasons & transitions we’ve been through. 

What a BLESSING that it’s been a constant for me!

I remember feeling stressed & stunted at my old job.

I remember feeling stuck in my schedule, without the freedom I craved.

I remember going through the motions & dreading Mondays.

I remember being 20+ pounds heavier, self conscious & discouraged that I wasn’t living up to my potential.

I remember thinking “I wish there was another way..” but not knowing exactly what that looked like for a young 20 something who hadn’t completed her degree yet.

And then this..

I stumbled upon this..

I took a giant leap.

NOT knowing what I was doing.

But full of faith that I'd figure it out.

Because I needed so desperately what it could offer me on so many levels. 

The fear of staying put was bigger than the fear of failing forward!

So hear me with this.

Because maybe you’re intrigued.

Or maybe you’re an eye rolling skeptic, reading for a “punch line” to joke or poke at.

if you are still someone that SCOFFS at working a business online, or recommending products that you love --- you truly gotta make a mindset shift, friend.

As cheesy as it sounds.. times have CHANGED.

Things are not what they once were.

And the opportunity in network marktingn& social commerce is REAL.

And I’m so glad I made the leap when I did!

I knew absolutely ZILCH about managing /growing my own business - or social media for that matter - four years ago when I said YES.

Simply put — I cared MORE about finding a wellness solution for myself and helping other along the way.

And like I remember the tough times in my past before I took this leap, I equally remember now the INCREDIBLE provision we’ve experienced (more than just financially) because of this coaching gig I started.

•coming home from my part time office job to spend time with my husband who was back from his third deployment

•helping pay off several debts

•being home with my daughter her ENTIRE first year + of life.. because of learning to WORK THE POCKETS

Four years

Loads of failing

But refusal to quit

And resilience to keep on

RESIDUAL INCOME. 

FREEDOM OF TIME.

CHOICE.

That’s what i have to show for.. & I’m so grateful!

You may still think “you do you, boo..” but at least do your research before you make a conclusive decision.

This opportunity - what we offer - the mission we’ve set out to tackle .. it’s not going anywhere. It’s GROWING.

26 Year Old, Work from HOME Mom

I sure have spent a LOT of time in this office the past week, putting in some LATE hours as I get organized & prepare my business//team to unplug quite a bit when this baby comes.

I'm B E Y O N D overwhelmed with gratitude to be in the profession I am.

Y'all.

Im going to be a 26 year old work from HOME mom any day now.

Putting in the hours when it will work for MY family.. even if it's middle of the night power pockets from my phone while feeding the babe.

Unplugging completely to soak up precious moments without feeling bad about it (oh & still getting paid, by the way).

Not having to worry about finding someone to keep my little one to go back to an office after a few short weeks at home.

The list of reasons.. the FREEDOM I have.. 

I just never imagined we'd have this option or that it would be a decision we could make with such confidence & total peace!

You better believe I'm making sacrifices & working hard - and will continue to do so - but not at the expense of missing out on what matters to me.

Thank you, Jesus.. for coaching.

For this business.

For this company to partner with.

For my team.

For the people I get to help.

This is why I so passionately share about what I do & invite others (maybe even YOU at some point in the past or the in the future) to join me.

Because if this is such a blessing in my own life - I simply can't imagine what it could mean for someone else!!

Beauty in the JOURNEY

Ever scroll through photos & reminisce in gratitude on the beauty throughout your journey?

I used to be a frustrated newly-wed feeling self-conscious, discouraged and "stuck." I settled into my circumstances because I forgot what it was like to dream & dare. I depended on my spouse for my happiness, which led to resentment and sadness. That was then.. Fast forward a bit.

I found an incredible opportunity in network marketing as a health & wellness coach last fall & now spend my days helping others. I am FINALLY confident. I am a dreamer. I KNOW that I serve a great purpose. For the first time in a long time, I truly believe in myself. The person in the left photo couldn't have typed those words.

creating an empire starts with dreams

It's funny because when I started this blog, I thought I'd be writing about Beachbody ALL the time and the business I am learning to build. But the is my first post.. Why? Well, I primarily share about my business on Facebook amongst people that I know.. Sharing this part of my life on a pubic blog is kind of a different ball game.

But I've been at this now for about 8 months now, and besides Jesus, I don't know that I've ever TRULY believed in anything more.. This is what I was made for. This doesn't mean beachbody necessarily.. This means the opportunity I have SEIZED. Please let me explain..

I know a lot of you either still don't get it or wonder but don't want to ask me..

"Why did you join beachbody? It's just fitness.. It's probably not a long term opportunity.. You might get tired of it.."

I could tell you all day long that this is a genius business model (it is).. and that the battle to end the trend of obesity has only just begun (it has). I could tell you I wanted to get the best shape of my life (I do).. but is that REALLY what lights a fire in me to create success every day??? It only scratches the SURFACE, my friends...

I refuse defeat and to push through rejection on a daily basis because I chose back in August and I CHOOSE again every single day to pursue my dreams...

Before I became a coach and started my business, I don't think anyone had ever asked me what those were.. I don't think I could have even voiced them to you clearly. Not anymore.. I have a clear VISION and am creating the path to get there one day at a time.

I dream to provide financial security so that Nate can choose what he would like to do one day after his military career ends.

I dream to leave a legacy behind of serving others with heart and helping change peoples lives from the inside out.

I dream of being present with my nuggets one day that might actually have hands and feet.. and NOT stressing about choosing family or a career.

I dream of a mobile business providing a freedom of TIME... creating a life by design that allows us to not only explore our world, but also be available to our family and friends during important life moments.

I dream of giving back in abundance to not only the Lord, but our community, friends and family... to be a channel or blessing, rather than a reservoir.

I don't care that I'm busy and sacrifice things and time now.. I CHOOSE to live unlike everyone else now, so that one day I CAN like unlike everyone else.

God, grant me perseverance, diligence, humility and resiliency to create a business that honors you, serves others and allows Nate and I to create our life by design.

I have NO degree and NO special qualifications. I have BIG ole dreams and a whole LOT of hustle.. I will learn through failure and pass along my knowledge to my team. This is what being an entrepreneur is.. and I accept the challenge.
