Back to Basics August Challenge: Apply Now

Why do I host & 'advertise' these groups each month?

- because I was never truly consistent until I had the accountability!

22 Minute Hard Corps Questions Answered by a Test Group Participant




With this being my FINAL week of 22 Minute Hard Corps & the LAUNCH only being 6 days away, I figured it was time to answer a few questions and let you know a little about what you can expect with this program.

22 Minute Hard Corps is a quick, relentless & EFFECTIVE workout program created by the one and only Tony Horton. The workouts are made up of total body, functional fitness moves that will exhaust MANY muscle groups in just 22 minutes a day.. Seriously.. 2 2 m i n u t e s .

This program is efficient and challenging. The meal plan is simple and easy to follow. ANYONE, I mean anyone can do this program y'all.

I can't WAIT for you to see the results of both men and women of ALL ages, backgrounds and starting points. We've got test group participants who have had heart attacks and transformed their lives & are getting SHREDDED. We have folks who were over weight keeping up with the workouts and LEANING out. We've got people in their 50's kicking BUTT every day.

It's truly amazing what you can do from home, in less than half an hour, with minimal equipment, while following a professional who keeps you motivated the entire time.

HALFWAY through my final week before I document my results this weekend & then start with the optional 9th week called "Hell Week" (full of double and triple workout days!). Wish me luck!!

22 Minute Hard Corps HALFWAY Results


Golly GEE.. I can't believe that it's been FOUR weeks since I logged my starting point and popped in my first 22 Minute Hard Corps DVD. Being a part of this test group has been SUCH an honor & honestly although it's HARD work.. I'd do it 100 more times.

I DON'T take it lightly that I've been given this opportunity. I know my "job" is to stay committed & get results that will INSPIRE others to seek change in their lives.

So that's what I do. I wake up each morning, determine to give my ALL. I stick to the meal plan and drink shakeology daily, without fail. I give EVERY ounce of effort in my during the workouts & push myself to my limits.

That hard work and commitment in just FOUR weeks has already produced some great results including inches and pounds lost. But most importantly for me, I'm feeling PROUD. I'm feeling stronger than I was before. I'm feeling more energize and EXCITED to see what I'll be able to accomplish TODAY that I maybe couldn't yesterday.

I can't wait to share my final results and go into DETAIL about how 22 Minute Hard Corps has impacted my day to day life. The test group I'm in is just phenomenal. Tony Horton is an AMAZING trainer that keeps you so motivated all while laughing at his silly jokes and wanted to PUNCH him from pushing you as far as he knows you CAN go.

If you have ANY doubts about this program being something you can do.. STOP.

This program is TWENTY-TWO minutes, y'all.
It's functional fitness.. a TOTAL body workout.
A meal plan that you can STICK with.
Shakes that will maximize your results.
A program that actually surprises you with what you're MADE OF.

Love Yourself: February Challenge


boy is it not about being perfect, y'all.. if it was, I would be a failure.

wellness is about giving yourself grace- embracing your flaws and shortcoming, but seeking balance each day & doing your personal BEST.

one of my deepest desires as a coach is for women to find balance by making their wellness (mind + body + spirit) a priority.

-it's not selfish to take 30 minutes a day to exercise..
-well rounded nutrition isn't for people with excess money/time on their hands..
-and it's certainly not vanity to pursue a healthier you.


Getting back to the BASICS of fitness and nutrition each day, believe it or not, CAN make you a better wife.. girlfriend.. mother.. daughter ..sister ..friend ..student ..employee.. the list goes on.

I don't create groups each month for perfectionist. I don't provide you with a magical overnight solution. I AM providing you with tools and an environment for you to learn to LOVE yourself, >better< care for those around you and to create a sustainable lifestyle that honors the One who gave you life in the first place.

the focus of my february accountability group is this..

progress not perfection.
LOVE yourself by caring for your temple.
Give yourself GRACE & find BALANCE.

Fix APPROVED, Healthy Avocado Dressing



I LOVE a good salad, especially when I'm on a meal plan requiring lots of veggie intake- like the container system that's a part of the 21 Day Fix, Hammer & Chisel and even similar to that of 22 Minute Hard Corps (releasing March of 2016).

HOWEVER, I do most definitely get tired of just using a simple vinegar or vinaigrette day in and day out.. I mean, I'm a recovering Ranch-aholic, y'all.. #thestruggleisreal

Fortunately, this recipe came in my 21 Day Fix meal plan/cookbook and I'm sharing it today with YOU as a tried and true delicious concoction!

What the portion fix meal plan refers to as Creamy Herb Dressing, I refer to as a Healthy Avocado Greek Yogurt dressing because of the star players in this mash up.




Ingredients:
1/2 C Plain Greek Yogurt
1 Ripened Avocado
3 Tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 C EVOO
S&P
Dried OR Fresh Herbs
(all I had was dill, tarragon, garlic, parsley & basil)

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients but olive oil in blender and blend until smooth. Slowly add in EVOO until you achieve creamy consistency. And that's it.. really, y'all!


This recipe makes about 10+ servings and if you're following a meal plan using the color coded container system I mentioned above, one serving is considered an ORANGE container.

I put this on top of a salad yesterday with grilled chicken, mixed greens, organic salsa and shredded cheese & it was just UH-mazing.

22 Minute Hard Corps Week TWO



Yowza! I can't believe I'm already on week TWO of this program.

While it has been so incredibly tough & challenging, it's EXACTLY what I wanted!

I've noticed how much better my body is functioning from the nutrition plan & how much my strength and stamina has improved in just 10 days.

I love this program. I love the {insane} pace. I love the challenge each day.. You know, that feeling when you dig DEEP to prove that voice in your head wrong.. When you suck it up and just ‪#‎GETSOME‬ . Yep, that's this program.. and I can't WAIT for you to try it!!!!


22 Minute Hard Corps Prep Weekend: BEFORE PHOTOS



Today was the DAY for my 22 Minute Hard Corps BEFORE photos!!!

Normally, before photos can be a drag. In them we see all of the bad choices made & the many workouts skipped.

Today, was different though.. my before photos had me EXCITED! Because I KNOW that in a couple of months, I'm going to be able to look at them to see how FAR I've come.

Big Announcement: Hard Corps Test Group SELECTION




So I've been keeping a BIG secret lately and have been waiting for the OK to make this announcement!

Well.. It's OFFICIALLY time to share!

Thankful



I was feeling a little emotional one morning very recently thinking about the freedom I have in my life right now.. How drastically different my day to day routine is from last year.

👗 I don't go TO work anymore, so I no longer dress up or put on makeup unless it's the weekend.

🚗 I go days at a time without leaving the house or driving my car.

⏰ I don't set an alarm clock unless I have appointment or DECIDE to get up early to work.

For most of us young folk nowadays.. That's kind of crazy, right??

While it's been a HUGE mental transition, it's been the biggest blessing!!

 spending each day with my fur babes.

 being able to greet my hubby when he comes home from work.

 that I have fewer selfish focuses everyday when trying to 'get ready for work'.. Aka brush my teeth and walk to the office.

Guys...

📍I haven't had to take a sick day or juggled paid time off since this summer.

📍I haven't missed out on one important family moment.

📍I get to live.my.life.by.design...

Who WOULDN'T want to work towards that?!

So later on that same day, the emotion continued when Hubby walked in my office and called me his sugar momma & congratulated me and my team on our accomplishments 🙈🍦


You'd giggle, but it actually got me a bit choked up... Coming home to work a non traditional business wasn't something widely celebrated or understood last summer.. So having the ONE person who's opinion matters, who's also my constant cheerleader, acknowledge that it's paying of makes me SO proud!

👉We're giving freely of our time and resources.. Sponsoring a boy in Haiti, volunteering and participating in local ministry opportunities.

👉We're spoiling each other a bit for Christmas..

👈We're making BIG life plans that make me nauseous, scared and excited all at once.

And it's in part because of my business with Beachbody.

For a long time, I was the only thing in my way.. And I just wish I had started his journey sooner. So friends.... MOVE OVER and take your life by the reigns. Use the gifts and talents God has given you to make a difference in people's lives and change.your.circumstances.

21 Day Fix Meal Plans

The 21 Day Fix (& Extreme) is BY FAR one of my all time favorite programs; Not just because of the awesome workouts & great results I got, but because the meal plan is SUSTAINABLE.

It's not a diet. You don't feel starved.

It's a simple, portion based system. Colored coded containers to teach you how MUCH of each "approved" food category to eat.

Your custom container requirements are determined by using a formula which takes into account your current weight, daily activity level and goals.

I understand that opening that first "challenge pack" box can be intimidating. The Shakeology and the workouts? Easy to process. The concept of meal planning around the container system? A little more tricky.

So where do you start??

I decided to provide a couple of my SAMPLE meal plans for you be INSPIRED by or use exactly even! I created these for two of the most popular calorie brackets for women: 1200 & 1500 calories.

The year I QUIT leggings



Okay, opinions aside with all this ‪#‎leggingsarenotpants‬ talk... let me take you back a to a few years of my life when I LIVED in them all winter long.
.
After Nate and I got married, I started a slow & steady weight gain.. we'll call it the "newly-wed 15," but honestly it was more like 20 pounds- and on a 5'3" frame that was pretty significant. But this post-white dress, newly wed bliss weight gain is something I think a lot of women can relate to.
.
I became so ashamed at how I neglected myself that I began to use my clothing to HIDE... the weight... the expanding curves.. and ultimately, my insecurity.
.
I had tons of pants sitting in my closet that I didn't wear because either they wouldn't fit over my butt/hips (hello, hour glass frame) OR because I was so self conscious about my muffin top. -----> In came the "leggings phase" of my life.... I wore them initially because they were trendy and comfy, but eventually they became my method of concealing & all I wore...
.
Last fall, I took charge of my health, fitness & over-all wellness.. I made the DECISION to try something different. I was NERVOUS that it would be too hard. I was nervous I would quit. I was nervous I'd waste money. BUT, I needed SO desperately to find my confidence again. I NEEDED to get rid of the sick-to-my-stomach feeling I had on occasion when I was intimate with my husband (keeping it real, girls). I wanted to go in my closet and throw on my PANTS for goodness sake!
.
So, I got T25 and shakeology, I synced up with a coach and joined an online accountability group. I checked in with my coach every Sunday & STUCK WITH IT for 8 weeks ----> through early morning work outs.. through traveling ... CHOOSING to saying NO to dinner party food and wedding reception snacks and weekend drinks.. I ENVISIONED what sticking with it would look and even FEEL like & that's what fueled me!
.
Nearly 60 days later, I finished T25/shakeology/healthy eating... and I lost 3.PANT.SIZES. I cried when I tried on pants that STILL didn't fit.. because they were too big. I felt SO healthy, STRONG and confident.. I felt proud of myself ---> and that meant so much to me.
.
So yes, leggings are great & I wear them [[the right way wink emoticon kidding.. ]].. but I'm not TRAPPED in them.. I'm not HIDING anything..
.
This may not speak to the masses, but that's okay. My hope is to be a LIGHT of hope and promise to a FEW. You CAN change your circumstances.. and I'd like to help you. Be free, be proud ladies. Love yourself
