If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you may know that I'm currently part of the coach test group for this program. SO you might already have a bit of an idea of what this program entails.

But for those of you who are totally clueless, a little curious or mega intrigued, here is everything you need to know about 80 Day Obsession!

What is it?
80 Day Obsession is primarily a strength training program with a bit of HIIT cardio.

Who is it for?
80 Day Obsession is an intermediate to advanced program.
That being said, it's likely not the best starting point for beginners.
However, I could definitely make program recommendations for you to spend about a month laying a good foundation to start 80 Day Obsession. Although this program is not for beginners, if you do have some sort of foundation, it CAN be for you. You do NOT have to be in crazy, top shape to start this program & give it your best effort! If you're looking for a total body transformation with a HUGE focus on booty & core, this is your solution.

What's it like?
80 Day Obsession is a total body fitness program with a HEAVY focus on booty & core. While you will spend most of your time lift weights, you will also have two days each week with cardio (HIIT specifically) thrown in.

Who is the trainer?
Autumn Calabrese is the trainer & creator of 80 Day Obsession.
You might know her from 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme, Country Heat
or Hammer & Chisel.

What equipment is needed?
For 80 Day Obsession you will need resistance loops, sliders & a range of light, medium & heavy weights. The loops & sliders are included in the accessory bundle & any of the challenge packs for this program.

How long is the program & the workouts?
80 Day Obsession is an 80 day program with a 6 day a week training schedule.
These 80 workouts are spread out over the course of 13 weeks, as the Sunday rest days are not included. The workouts each range between 30-60 minutes in length; However, most days will take you between 45 minutes to an hour.

Is there a modifier?
There is a modifier in every workout, offering a less intense option. She does not lower the intensity to a beginner's level. As always, listen to your body & feel free to modify the modifications, if needed, as you get stronger.

What's the nutrition plan like?
The 80 Day Obsession meal plan builds off the "portion fix" system that many are familiar with from the program 21 Day Fix or any of Autumn's other programs.

While it will revolve around portion control & whole foods, this program also introduces the concept of timed nutrition. The meal plan itself is simple to follow, as the guess work is GONE & everything is spelled out. It's truly meant to teach you how to fuel your body for these high intensity workouts, while priming your body for results!

The timed nutrition piece of this plan certainly requires extra discipline, but is absolutely crucial to the program because it revs up your metabolism & keeps your energy levels high for the workouts. Be prepared to food prep every single week!

The portion fix containers are included in the accessory bundle & challenge packs for this program.

Is the meal plan vegan friendly?
Yes! There is actually an entire, separate vegan meal plan!


"I’m concerned about how to fit timed-nutrition into my job or lifestyle. What if I can’t eat at certain times, or if I work out very early in the morning and I’m not used to eating first?"



"Following timed-nutrition is the best way to get results, because you need this fuel for energy, muscle building, and recovery. We’ve designed the program to accommodate workouts at almost any time of day. Your eating plan will show you what and when to eat in your workout block, which is a 4- to 5-hour window surrounding your workout. You can move your workout block meals around to fit your schedule (we give you examples so you can see exactly how it works).
We understand that sometimes life gets in the way and you can’t follow the program exactly. We recommend following the program as Autumn designed it and eating before your 80 Day Obsession workout — and we provided a few pre-workout meal options — but if you just don’t have the time, that’s OK. You can still get results. Just make sure to eat the recommended containers as a meal later in the day, spacing your meals 2–3 hours apart."
I'm an EARLY morning workout person. Do I HAVE to eat my pre-workout meal 60 to 90 minute prior to my workout?
No, what's most important is being able to figure out how much time you personally need to digest your food before a workout. My husband & I workout at 6:00am & have found that we can eat between 5:20-5:30 with our pre workout supplement immediately following, & we do just fine!
What supplements are recommended?
Daily consumption of Shakeology & the use of the Beachbody Performance Line (specifically energize as a pre-workout & recover as a post workout supplement) is HIGHLY recommended for your best physical performance, muscle recovery, optimal digestion & maximum results. You can, however, follow the program & meal plan only using shakeology, if you choose.

How much space do I need?
A 6x6 food space is recommended.

Can I do this program if I’m diabetic?
It is recommended that you consult your physician before engaging in any nutrition or exercise program if you’re diabetic.

Can I do this program if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
80 Day Obsession is not recommended if you’re pregnant because of the amount of core work required. If you’re breastfeeding, please consult your physician before doing the program. If you have doctor or midwife approval and want to lose weight, calculate your Calorie Target using your Maintenance Calories, but don’t subtract Calorie Deficit since nursing your baby will help create a deficit. To maintain weight, use your Maintenance Calories, then bump up one plan. (See page 4 of the starter guide for more information.)
